About me

I was born in Maryland to Indian immigrants who came to the U.S. sometime in the 1970’s. I stayed in Maryland up until finishing college at the University of Maryland, where I studied Physiology & Neurobiology. After graduating, I pursued a masters degree in Physiology at Georgetown University. I’d had my fill of the east coast by this time, and moved to Berkeley, CA to try something new. During my time in Berkeley, I held various jobs including working as a medical scribe at Kaiser Permanente, a Research assistant at the University of California San Francisco, and even joined the start up scene at a new medical device company.

2 years into living in California, I found out that I had been accepted to medical school, a long time pursuit, at Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. I am currently heading into my second year of medical school, and excited to continue the journey to a career in medicine.

My intention with this blog is to learn the basics of website design and how to create a user-friendly experience through taking the introduction to web technologies course at Quinnipiac University. I intend to apply this knowledge to my capstone project, which is an informational website with the purpose of providing comprehensive patient education material about conditions afflicting the hip joint.
